The Excavation Specialists

The Excavation Specialists is a family business operated by a second-generation excavation family, providing specialist excavation and haulage contracting services to the Newcastle and Hunter Valley region for over 16 years. The company serves clients ranging from private residential customers to major Government clients.

Its services include drainage preparation, site cleans, fault finding and trenching for utilities, landscaping, house site preparations and slab preparations.

Projects ranging from residential driveways and retaining wall footings to tight-access swimming pool digs and plumbing trenches recur throughout the feedback for this Newcastle earthmoving operation. Michael, also referred to as Mick, is named often, and reviewers consistently link him and his operators with punctuality and an organised approach on site. Customers describe pool excavation, concrete removal, detailed digging and site profiling, noting that a diverse range of machinery is available for each task. Tidiness is a point that comes up often: spoil is managed, surfaces are left clean and operators are described as friendly and polite.

Quotes are repeatedly called fair, with work described as staying within budget from start to finish, and the service is characterised as reliable and ethical. Repeat clients mention using the team across multiple jobs, from pool excavation to driveway preparation and trenching, and report the same standard each time. Communication is another recurring theme, with problems handled without fuss and nothing treated as a hassle. Detailed excavation and earthworks on constrained suburban blocks feature prominently, and the outcome is consistently described as a job done well.
