Privacy policy
Find Demolition AU (finddemolitionau.com) helps people across Australia locate demolition contractors, licensed asbestos removalists and excavation and earthmoving contractors. This notice explains, in plain terms, how the site handles information — it is not legal, safety or licensing advice of any kind.
I. Who runs this directory Find Demolition AU is operated by Selim Akcan. For any privacy-related question, write to [email protected].
II. No account needed Nothing on this website requires you to register, log in or supply your contact details. You can look through demolition, asbestos removal and earthmoving contractors freely.
III. Technical logging Our servers automatically note the IP address, browser or user agent, the page requested and the date and time for each visit, to keep the site secure, prevent abuse such as scraping, and run the platform technically.
IV. Advertising and cookies The directory is supported by advertising rather than by charging visitors or businesses. Google and comparable partners may set cookies on your device so ads you see match your interests. Review or turn this off at adssettings.google.com, and separately, most browsers let you block or delete cookies without losing access to the site.
V. Source of contractor listings Profiles shown for demolition contractors, asbestos removalists and earthmoving businesses — business name, address, phone number, website, opening hours, and ratings with reviews — are taken from information Google already makes publicly available through Google Maps and Google Business Profile. We have not asked these businesses to submit anything directly. Where an owner finds an entry inaccurate or wants it taken down, an email to [email protected] will see it corrected or removed.
VI. Licensing and asbestos work are your responsibility to check This site lists contractors; it does not assess or hold any of them to a safety standard, and nothing here is safety advice. Demolition, and asbestos removal especially, are heavily regulated activities requiring specific class licences. Confirming a contractor holds the correct licence and insurance for the job is a matter for you to check with the contractor or the relevant state regulator before work begins.
VII. Third-party links Contractor profiles link to businesses' own websites and to Google Maps. Those destinations are not controlled by us, and we have no responsibility for how they handle your information once you leave this site.
VIII. Your rights and complaints We handle personal information consistently with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. You can ask what personal information we hold about you and request a correction by emailing [email protected]. If a response does not resolve the matter, you may escalate a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
