Asbestos removal · Sunshine Coast

How much does Asbestos removal cost in Sunshine Coast? (2026 price guide)

Removing asbestos from a small area like eaves, a garage roof or a fence typically costs $500-$2,000, while a full residential roof re-clad involving asbestos removal usually runs $5,000-$15,000 depending on roof size and disposal requirements. An asbestos inspection and report alone typically costs $250-$600.

Cost depends on whether the material is bonded or friable asbestos (friable is far more expensive due to stricter containment rules), the quantity and location of material, site access, and licensing and disposal fees. Emergency removal after storm damage often attracts a premium.

Only use a licensed asbestos removalist - required by law for larger jobs - and confirm the price includes safe transport and disposal at a licensed facility, not just removal from the property.
