He took the time to talk us through a number of options, looked at photos of the fireplace and gave an honest assessment of what he would do. It was very obvious that he had a vast amount of knowledge on not only building and brickwork but also fireplaces and in our case one built in the 1920’s. He was refreshingly generous with his time and knowledge and ultimately gave my husband the repair tips and confidence to do the repair himself. We would therefore have no hesitation in hiring or recommending Jamie for any future work that would suit his areas of expertise.
I had a job requiring the preservation of structural integrity that no one, including me, knew how to handle. It worried me for years. Jamie’s approach wasn’t gung-ho. He thought it through and I trusted him to sort it out. An outstanding result with which I am100% happy.

Jamie completely wasted our time. We received a quote over the phone and asked for it in writing. We were then completely ghosted. We were mislead and if Jamie didn’t want to do the demolition he could have just been honest. His poor communication lead to a delay in over 8 weeks for our project. I wouldn’t recommend this company, too busy planning retirement and full of empty promises.
Jamie has a wealth of knowledge and experience in a wide array of areas, and is excellent in pre-empting problems before the job begins. Jamie and his team are phenomenal at providing solutions to said problems. He (& his team) are friendly, professional and experts in finding on-site solutions to unexpected challenges, whether it be conventional, or out of the box. I would highly recommend Adelaide Ancillary Building Services, and will be hiring them again shortly for another project.
We were extremely happy with Jamie and his team. Jamie has so much expertise and knowledge, but even more importantly, he genuinely cares about people and takes pride in his work. He went above and beyond to provide us with good advice, not just for our current job, but to set us up to make things easier for future work. A lot of the thought he put into it was beyond what would be required for a great job. He was exceptional. His team Ivan and Ashley are also both absolutely lovely, hard working, kind people. From the initial call to enquire about how Adelaide Ancillary Building Services could help me, I cannot fault their customer service. Jamie answered my 100 questions and offered me a number of options to achieve the result I was hoping for. When agreeing on the works to occur, Jamie and his team arrived punctually and completed the job efficiently and explained everything to my curious little boy, with kindness and patience. Jamie and the team also spotted other odd jobs around the home whilst present for the agreed project and completed those too!
