Townsville Demolitions

Townsville Demolitions was established in 1978 by Gabriel (Gabby) Stathooles and Lawrence (Mick) Trotman and has 48 years of experience. The company is fully licensed and insured, services an area from Townsville north to Cairns, south to Mackay and west to Hughenden, and has worked on projects including shopping centres, hospitals, schools, police stations, prisons, warehouses and railway yard buildings; it issues a clearance certificate after asbestos removal.

Services include asbestos removal, building demolition, excavations, and supply of recycled building materials.

Townsville Demolitions doubles as a source of reclaimed building materials, and its reviews reflect both sides of the business: one reviewer describes a house at Kirwan pulled down with the demolition site kept tidy, while several others describe visiting the yard for salvaged doors, scrap metal and other used materials at reasonable prices.

Reviewers mention friendly staff willing to lend a ute for transporting purchases and a family feel to the operation. The sample suggests a business combining demolition work with an on-site salvage yard rather than one focused purely on new-build knock-downs.
