The business was established in 2008 and is owned and operated by Brant Murrihy under Murrihy Group. It provides demolition, asbestos removal, machine hire, skip hire and recycling, emergency response, and project management services. Murrihy Demolitions has completed 10,872 projects. Its clients include Acciona Energy & Construction, ALDI Stores, Ambulance Victoria, Bunnings Group, Deakin University, and Victoria Police.

Murrihy Demolitions, Asbestos Removal & Machine Hire draws consistent praise for the professional manner in which jobs are handled from first contact to completion. Customers in several reviews describe clear communication throughout, with progress updates delivered at each stage and swift responses when timelines shifted, including one project held up briefly by earlier school holiday commitments while Anthony kept the customer informed. A cement sheet assessment during a domestic renovation produced a straightforward explanation that no asbestos was present, and that assessment was valued for its clarity.

Brant receives mention for an initial site visit that proved easy and helpful, while Chris is credited with halting demolition work to walk a customer through each step as an old home was taken down. The finished result is a further recurring point: demolition is described as safely and expertly performed, certification paperwork handled without delay, and the site left spotlessly clean once work wrapped up. The scope reflected in these accounts covers knock-down rebuilds, including a project in Ballarat, together with asbestos assessment and machine hire.
