DemoEx

DemoEx is a Wollongong based demolition contractor founded by John De Carli, who personally oversees every project. The team has 25+ years of combined experience in demolition, excavation and asbestos removal across the Illawarra region, is fully certified and compliant with NSW SafeWork regulations, and performs all work with its own in-house team rather than subcontractors.

Services include licensed asbestos removal, residential and commercial demolition, site excavation and earthworks, and land clearing and forestry mulching, serving Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama, Illawarra, Shoalhaven and the Southern Highlands.

In Wollongong, DemoEx has earned the confidence of repeat trade clients and homeowners alike for demolition, excavation and asbestos-related work. Several reviewers describe John and his crew as punctual and organised, arriving when promised and finishing structural alterations, house demolitions and an unusual boat disposal ahead of schedule. A detail many reviews return to is the calibre of communication, with clients noting clear updates from the first site visit through to completion, including courteous dealings with neighbours. Customers repeatedly mention well-itemised quotes that kept costs competitive without surprises, and the tidiness of sites afterwards, where debris was cleared and materials recycled where possible.

The team's know-how across demolition, excavation and asbestos-related tasks is highlighted, alongside their readiness to take on awkward requests and coordinate cranes, traffic control and disposal at short notice. Friendliness and a steady manner under pressure are credited with easing stressful projects. Reviewers also value the straightforward advice given and the way requests were handled without fuss. The recurring theme is dependable, clean and fairly priced work delivered by a crew that knows its trade and leaves the site ready for the next stage of construction.
